It’s good to hear the optimism. I do think the quarterback is our wild card. If he performs well, we can be good. I would like to hear some thoughts on the media types who put us in the lower echelon of the conference this season. What do they see or not see that leads them to that conclusion?

I run in to Latrell Bumphus from time to time. Years ago I was 275 after I transitioned from the USAF with a bad BMI. It is extremely enlightening to see a man my height and 275lbs of muscle and how different it looks than my flabby overweight period.

35 lbs seems a bit much in one offseason. Bishop was already fairly productive on a ypc basis. I hope it doesn't take away his ability to hit the hole as hard as he does or limit him from his side juke move he does at full speed. Very hard working player, so maybe it does ultimately benefit him. Just seems like a lot of weight.

He's saying that Bishop has put on 35 lbs of lean mass since he committed to TN, not in just 1 offseason. He came to TN with the 2023 class.

IMO, I view Bishop as a proven quality SEC RB
He gained weight over 3 years to where he could adjust to his size and maintain his explosiveness which was always his strength. He spelled Sampson as the #2 back last year and gained playing experience. The biggest knock on Bishop's ranking during his recruitment was his lack of size. That's no longer the case. I think he has the opportunity to be showcased and make some noise this year.

Haha, I happen to be at an old school steakhouse at the moment, so my discovery of this post lands at quite the appropriate time.

4* class of 2026 WR Tyreek King ran a laser timed 4.3 something and was absolutely dominant at the ON3 5* camp this past weekend. Was the most explosive and dominant WR at the camp. Check out the recruiting thread for more details...we are gonna have a true burner coming in next year to an already loaded WR room. King is a Knoxville kid too and all VOL. The future is bright on the hill.

I am a big fan of Bishop who is also a Knoxville kid and runs so tough. He is a natural RB...a bellcow...and runs like a beast between the tackles. Great vision and toughness. I think he has a breakout year and eventually plays on Sundays.
