Desean Bishop up to 215lbs

35 lbs seems a bit much in one offseason. Bishop was already fairly productive on a ypc basis. I hope it doesn't take away his ability to hit the hole as hard as he does or limit him from his side juke move he does at full speed. Very hard working player, so maybe it does ultimately benefit him. Just seems like a lot of weight.

Offense is shaping up to be as good as HH team. JA is underrated IMHO.
I think so too. I am optimistic. He didn't have much help last season at AppSt. Their rushing offense was anemic in 24; 1697yds for the season. They had 2408 rushing yds in 2023 when his stat lines were impressive.
I expect our run game to take a lot of that pass rush pressure off of him. He should be more poised. Hard to stand in there knowing you can get blind sided any second, multiple times per game.

I love Bishops running style. Homegrown straight out of Knoxville and working hard. Between him,Lewis and Star were gonna be just fine this year. GBO
Bishop has vision. He seems to have a really good understanding of how his blocking will develop before it does. His speed and (now) size are assets, but I think his best attribute is knowing where to be and when to be there…which is the best attribute any RB can have.

Nobody can be more hopeful that he has a very positive impact on our production during his career. I took a lot of heat during his recruitment begging to get him SOME WAY. Schollie or walkon/NIL. His productive ending to every play in HS was amazing. Not predicting, but hoping, his physical development and work translates to this level of football. Just think he has the intangibles in spades. Think the staff has hinted at that since his arrival, but you have to get to hole on time to plant the foot and make the cuts. Should know in fall practice to a degree, but might be a gamer…..seen those guys too. We got some other guys faster and twitchier to compliment his skills.

D Bish is ready to be the primary back in a 50 30 20 type trio… he ran for a million yards in high school and has elite instincts at Rb.. he showed great promise last year and is a true worker… we will be fine at Rb and as a team this year… we’ve always leaned on the run game under heup and this year we will be effective as usual.

It seems he is often injured and missing in action

We aren’t dynamic at rb but Bishop has great feet and both he and Lewis finish with an extra yard or two at contact.
We need to hit the rb in the flats this year. It was open all year last year, including a potential game winner at Ark. We didn’t feel them, anticipate or see them open. RBs should have 8-10 check downs or dumps per game, especially with how we spread defenses out. Hazle/Heup have to do better here and there are enough offensive analysts who should have figured it out as well.
