Dooley, who is a new coach and who has not been successful at all as a head coach and who just had a bad year, will decide the fate of the athletic director to whom he reports? It's ludicrous. That would be a recipe for anarchy in the athletic department. Would Dooley hire or sign off on the new AD? And then who will sack Dooley if he doesn't get the job done? Good grief. I don't know where this came from--but the idea is insane. :loco:
Wow, who would have thought a year ago, this lawyer from La. Tech., with a career losing record would hold the fate of Mike Hamilton in his hand. I'm beginning to like him more and more......Now, if he can just beat a team with a winning record.

I believe the OP read the Volwarrior33 post and misinterpreted the line about Dooley. The line should have been interpreted as "the success of the football program will determine the fate of Mike Hamilton". It definitely should not have been interpreted as "Derek Dooley is now calling shots in the Athletic Department".
I am glad you are not my doctor, rockydoc.
