1. Number VA employees in 2020-- approx. 371,000
2.Number VA employees in Dec. 2024--approx. 471,000
3. Approx. number VA patients 2020 9.1 million
4. Approx. number VA patients 2024 9.1 million
5. Number of doctors and nurses 2020/2024--approx.
same.
So yes, someone needs to look at what the H those 100,000 hires are suppose to be doing.

$2B "saved" by the VA is now $900M, directly from the VA director yesterday afternoon. So literally more than half of the "savings" gone in less than a week.

That's like complaining about only getting half the pie instead of the whole pie when you started with no pie.

Keep in mind that that was as of yesterday. It is likely that more contracts are going to be turned back on through the rest of this week.

Like I said, I just want clarity and accuracy. We all shat on Biden's admin for making up ******** and now we're getting it shoveled to us fifteen times faster. It's not great.

I'm also still extremely irritated that the VA administrator just outright made up "powerpoint" and "notetaking" contracts and bragged about $2B before just yesterday bragging about $900M with zero explanation.

It's funny watching Republican Congress Members supporting the slashing of the Federal Workforce. Let's see one come out for cutting the number of House members by half and proposing a Constitutional Amendment to cut the number of Senators to one per state. Term limits and cut the size of Congress by half and watch the waste go away.

Watching members of Congress talk about the swamp creatures being fired as park rangers are being let go while the true swamp creatures continue to thrive in Congress is craziness.

Ain't just R's, otherwise agree. We will never see either side in congress vote their job, pay or pensions away. They see themselves as too essential. "Swamp Creatures" run the gamut of left, right and center politics. Need to take it back to 6 months out of the year, go home and work your regular job the other 6 months.
