Luther has a point. the way our system is set up you are voting FOR someone. There is no button for "not Hilary", "anti establishment" etc. You are pushing your vote for someone. there are plenty of other non-Trump "not hilary", "anti establishment" options.

in fact there was a pretty significant bump to the people that actually did vote third party this election.

http://graphics.wsj.com/third-party-candidate-impact/

even people on this forum have at least stated they voted third party. if people actually voted the way they say they do we could/should have seen a completely different election. the issue is neither party wants to a see a third party emerge, which is where the story of a wasted vote comes from.

I did not vote for pres because no one deserved my vote.

However, you can vote against someone. If you definitely didn't want Trump at all costs you vote for his biggest opponent, Clinton. Don't want Clinton at all costs? You voted Trump. Hate both equally you vote for someone else or not vote.

Again in that situation you are then choosing to vote FOR someone. whoever your lesser of the evils is, you are voting FOR that person. you have to win a certain number of votes, if there is no majority there is another round of voting. if enough people vote third party that will replace voting for your lesser evil.

It's amazing how many people are attempting to explain away their vote for Trump.

He is president for one reason....people voted for him in the primary and in the general election.

Embrace your vote (or lack of vote) and bask in the result.

I enjoy libs telling themselves what they want to hear.

Oh I am. I'll take Trump over Clinton any day. I don't like either of them. I'll take a president Pence sooner rather than later as well.

You'll get your wish. And as much as Clinton would have been vastly superior to Trump, over the next 20 years, the Trump victory could actually help more than would have a Clinton victory. Clinton would have been almost as unpopular as is Trump. The backlash in '18 and '20 will be epic.

I take it you voted for Clinton? You don't matter anyway. Ha

Backlash like '12 and '14 over the last embarrassing loser? Lol

John Katich was the best candidate either side, proven track record.

LOL. We are a little over 4 years from hearing THE EXACT same thing from LG when Obama won his second term. Back then the Republican party was dead and would never recover.. Then even on election day Hillary was "winning in a landslide"..

bwahahahahahahahahaha :eek:lol:

Who feels the backlash depends on if anything comes out of these investigations. For your sides sake you better be praying to sweet baby Jesus Trump gets nailed to the wall, otherwise the Dems and RINOs will be in yuuge trouble.

If nothing comes from the investigations and the economy keeps chugging away like it is Trump gets another 4 years easy because democrats will have nothing to run on outside of random phobias and fear mongering.

I voted for Cruz in the Primary, and Trump in the General. Happy with both votes, and would gladly do it again..

Wonders never cease.

It will be interesting to see how long you are willing to hold the line.

You proposition is false.

I am a bona fide center of the crosshairs centrist. I've taken over a dozen of the online political ideology tests and only score, at most, a very few points off center.
Can't stand leftwingnut Democans. Can't stand rightwingnut Republocrats. Libercrudiarians are funny. Greenies are weenies.

There were ONLY two viable presidential candidates last election. The Hildabeast, and Mickey Mouse. Wild Hair nor ANY OTHER 3rd party had a snowballs chance on a hot tin roof.

In my opinion, the Clintons are two of the most despicable politicians on earth.

But Mickey Mouse had a small chance of defeating the Sex Predator Enabler.

Damn right I voted AGAINST Clinton. That's called 'tactical voting' and more specifically 'disapproval voting'.

Go look it up. It's a real thing. Some don't accept that it is. OK. Don't care. I so disapproved of HiLIARly I cast a tactical vote for Mickey Mouse in hopes she would be defeated. She was. I'm sure many others did the same.
