Only one last night.

I realize the man has been a fine coach for many years, but this wasn’t one. We all age and at some point it affects our abilities and performance.
Dude it was like Tennesee didn't want to be there in that bowl game.Alot more issues then just one coach.I,m glad Knowles is keeping Garner and I think all of Volnation is too.

So 1 bad yr from the DTs, and you want to fire Rodney Garner? You guys are brain dead. RG has a track record. Just last year we had one of the best DL in CFB. It's not like we have the same players. Players develop at different rates, sometimes you never know what you have until the light comes on. That's why you recruit over certain spots after a year. Apparently the rotation/players last year were better than the rotation/players this year. OT/ ONL/ ES was what made that line rock last year. You guys need to leave the staff management to the pros. You can do your personal staff changes on your PS5.
You do realize that nothing anyone on this or any other board writes will affect Garner’s employment status one bit. It’s just folks opinion and last time I checked we all still have a right to express one.

The "stats" are that we got beat up on by better teams where the offense couldn’t stay on the field and lost to Arkansas in a game in which we scored 14 points.

I provided the defensive stats. Pretty widely agreed upon 2024 was the year we won with defense. Sorry.
If I remember correctly in the Arky game, we had an 11 point lead in 3rd qtr and that mighty defense couldn't mange to hold that lead from an "anemic" Arky offense. Funny how you say our offensive stats were inflated by who we played, yet I provided you the rankings of all the teams offensive ranks our defense played but you say the defense was legit. I'm not saying our offense last year was a powerhouse but being ranked 14 is far from anemic, just like I think the defense last year was good, nowhere near elite.

No job is safe, nor should it be. This group failed at all three levels, and that couldn't be clearer than the final two months of this 2025 season.
Coach Knowles
must be wracking his brain with what's ahead. I'm confident he will get the job done & that CJH will listen closely.

lol we scored 14 points and the QB ate the ball with time expiring. If you have an issue with the word "elite", that’s cool, I never said that— just that it was the strength of our team.

Maybe "one-dimensional" is a better word than anemic. But I watched it and this seems like a rewrite to me. Happy New Year.

One dimensional is not correct either, we avg 221 yards passing and 225 rushing, that's pretty darn balanced. It's sad that some fans think we've score 40 every game or the offense is not very good. Defense has always been the reason we haven't reached elite status yet, however, I would like to see us do a little better on offense in the second half of games. We've started the process by getting rid of Banks, now in my opinion, I think we should gut the whole defensive staff, plus Hazel and Elarbee on offense.

Happy New Year to you also!

I heard the other day the linebacker room basically checked out this year because they cannot stand Coach Chop. Thats an interesting take I hadn't heard before. Isn't Chop considered our best recruiter?

Are you so afraid of Banks getting undeserved credit for 2024 you’re willing to rewrite Nico’s story? I was giving the vast majority of it to Garner, anyway, who coached our first and second round picks that year on the DL.

Impose whatever narrative you want tho. I won’t tell you it’s not correct.

Banks is not a good DC and I'm not sure how rewriting Nico story plays into this but, in my opinion Garner is a very good recruiter, avg coach at best.

Anyone willing to let Garner go is dumber than a bag of rocks.

He’s a well respected coach with a history of SEC experience that most teams would swoop in and hire in a heart beat.
