I’m going to but my head in here.
I know multiple boards of trustee members at Penn State, I’ve met previous members of the football staff. I know major donors and have had several “off the record” conversations with them.
If they had deposed everyone at Penn State who had knowledge of Sandusky...that entire program would have to be burned to the ground.
This truly was a secret that EVERYONE close to the program knew, the only reason it didn’t make mainstream was because they had all agreed to keep it quiet for the sake of the school
It was so well known players would joke about not getting caught in the showers with Sandusky. Not to mention Paterno’s staff was filled with folks who had been with him for decades. It would surprise me more if they didn’t know, with how many people I’ve talked to about it.
I can’t remember the name of the poster who posted this, he’s posted it twice on VN now, but I kept a screenshot of it to share with my family after this debacle happened. It shows you how well this was covered up and how even outsiders chose to put the school over the kids.
This is NOT my story, but as I said, I know enough people involved with Penn State to be certain of it
I’ll add, none of this is proof that Schiano knew for certain, however that’s not necessarily the point. The point is that it is likely he did, in that way he is tainted and that’s all the ammunition any other coach would need. He could easily tell recruits and their parents “do you want to trust your kids with someone who might be guilty of covering up child rape?”
Don’t tell me they wouldn’t use it.
