Defending Fulmer

I don't care if you say Fulmer has achieved more than Kiffin. That's obviously true.

That being said, I think it's ridiculous to think the current state of the program has more to do with Kiffin than Fulmer.

I don't think anyone is blaming the suckitude of the team on Kiffin alone. Fulmer had us nearing the bottom. Kiffin went ahead and hit the rocks.

Probably true, but I think that's merely because he left rather than his actual coaching ability.
He left us in a horrible situation to win in 2010.

However, I don't think he left us in a horrible situation to win in 2012.

Dooley deserves a lot of credit for salvaging that 2010 class, but I remain confident that our potential for 2012 and 2013 is much higher than it would have been if Fulmer stayed on through 2009.

How so? When did we sink any lower than we were in 2008? That's what I don't understand. At what point did we hit rock bottom? As bad as Kiffin left things for 2010, it was still turned out better than Fulmer's final year.

No doubt. No program is going to be able to withstand 2 coaching transitions in 14 months. I think it's a testament to CDD's ability that he took that JV team last year and got bowl eligible.

Which is why I don't see why people think it will take until 2014 to win anything. Especially those who think Dooley is the right guy.

I don't see why 2012 can't be a great season. We really just need to fill in a few holes on the front 7, IMO.

Won't kiffin's lone class have attritted out by next year assuming Janzen leaves?

Still got King, Teague, and Hood who should contribute. Gordon and Oliver might. There are a few more from that class that are probably more Phil's guys.

Negative. Regardless of divisions, UAT is and always will be the most important game on the schedule. I'm amazed some fans don't understand what the Third Saturday in October means.

Nevermind. Spoke before I thought.
