Defending Fulmer

Maryland and Clemson, definitely big time beatdowns. I was referencing losing in the last 2 minutes of the Music City Bowl, by running off tackle 3 straight times when UNC had all their time outs. As far as this dumbass thing, do you go to games? If so, lets get together and talk, want to?

Good point. I'd much rather get destroyed by acc teams with far inferior talent than to barely lose to a more talented acc team. You're doing a great job making the case for your hero. And nice job with the threat. Looks like I'm gloomed if I go to a game this year.

Name a few.

2001 - UGA, LSU in Atlanta
2002 - Maryland
2003 - Clemson
2004 - Notre Dame
2005 - South Carolina, Vanderbilt, maybe even Alabama

Do you want me to keep going? Seriously, get your head out of CPF's rectum.

Off the top of my head

Notice how they seem to cluster near the end?

I'd add a few bowl games, but that's a good start.

Oh yeah, forgot the bowl games. Maryland and Clemson can go to the head of the line.

He won a lot of his early bowl games, and dwindled latter in his career. I really got nervous in bowl season with fulmer, even against stinker schools.

Wait, there are people still trying to defend Fulmer? I can only assume there has been some sort of dictate from Slive requiring all SEC schools to go back to mental invalids as coaches, like Mike DuBose and Jim Donnan, so that Fulmer can inflate his record until he has his annual breakdown against Spurrier.

I know I sure enjoyed having half of our starting lineup as future All-Pros that, somehow, always got their asses handed to them at least once a year. Maybe we can schedule Fulmer to coach the future Nebraska series, just for old times sake. We were always such wizards with stopping the option offense. Air Force still doesn't know what hit them.

I do, though, feel deprived of seeing our team led by that stout '08 recruiting class, highlighted by A.J. Abrams-Ward.

This has nothing to do with the whole CPF thing, so dont think I'm trying to hint or start anything.

If you could have your choice of who you'd like to see lead the Vols through the "T" who would it be? Alive, dead, present, past, dont matter. General Neyland dont count (too obvious for any Vol fan).

I always liked Tom Osborne, Hayden Frye, of course the Bear, Vince Dooley. Just a few.

I notice the last 3, all have Clawful's experiment all over them

Clawson was the head coach?

I like ya darth, I really do. However; Clawson did play a part in one of the worst offenses in UT history. The D was fairly good. The clawfense was barely watchable, and that's giving it credit it does not deserve. Yeah ultimately it was Fulmer's fault, but damn that was a woeful offense.

Clawson has an FBS head coaching job. Fulmer doesn't. No school has passed his interview yet, I guess.

I understand that sentiment, but CPF never gave Clawson complete control of the offense. He said himself that he wanted to marry the old system to the new one. That's not giving the OC the keys to the car.

We've had some pathetic coaching hires recently. No doubt. If Dooley doesn't get results hopefully Cronan will have the balls to make a hire the volnation deserves.

True, however, I despise how unproductive his offense was. I blame fulmer too, I just noticed production of 07 going into 08 and I question the clawson.

Won't be up to Cronan. She'll be gone by the time we can evaluate Dooley, unless he goes 4-8 or 10-2 this year.
