DeBord is coming (merged)

Not who I wanted, and who's coaching QBs. What a huge letdown after signing day, hope CBJ is comfy this guy does nothing for UT..2016 commits are like who the f@&$ is debored

SUCKS

Only reason I can see why holding this news that everyone already knew 2 weeks ago is, that the fan base wouldn't be in the streets burning mattresses after a signing class like yesterday's. Butch is a master at when ti release things. Hope it works out for the best. In Butch we trust.

I trust Butch's judgment here. I'd say he's earned a longer leash from the fan base after what he has accomplished.

if you have to debate the merits of a hire based upon the definition of "indication" and "regular" then you have already lost.
Regular patterns can have any time between them as long as the duration is constant.... Like the Iceages occur in a regular pattern.
Aren't you a lawyer?
You can do better than this!

Sorry buddy, I didn't write the dictionary. You asked a question, I answered. Most of us know what "regular" attendance means. I just try to educate the masses. Call it "Pro bono" work if you will.

You deflect real information with meaningless banter and skepticism, when you have nothing proving otherwise. You are reaching.

I think Nick Sheridan will be promoted from G.A. to coach Qb. Look at his bio, it is very good imo.

Yes!!!!! CBJ has worked too hard the last couple of years building this thing up. If he were to hire an OC that would want complete control to run "his" offense, his plan would most likely take a step back. The way you keep moving forward is you stay on the same path. I don't think Debord is the long-term answer, so debating very far into the future is futile. CBJ is looking at these next 2 years as being extremely pivotal in his time here and establishing something. You can't risk one of those 2 years installing a new system.

Stepping out of comfort worked well for Gary Patterson and TCU. They embarrassed an Ole Miss team that we were embarrassed by...

Can't wait to hear butch get roasted at the presser when he has to field the questions he is gonna get. How can you be "comfortable" hiring someone who has never run this type of offense, and hasn't recruited an athlete since the Internet. Way to go Butch.
Derek Dooley smells what Butch is cooking... :)

I'd say finding a guy that was good at coaching receivers and organizing recruiting duties at UT would be a pretty easy job to do.

No it wouldn't. I'll bet if you ask most if not every new recruit they love CZA. Letting him walk because you went the thank you comfort route isn't how you do things.

To argue against hiring...deBORG is.....futile.

Butch owed him a favor and the guy needed a job. Perfect timing. You don't have to like it....just eat your cold, tasteless oatmeal and go to your room, VolNation!

I for one, thank you.

While I'm indifferent to the hire, seeing the qoutes from reputable sources and statistics, is somewhat comforting.

Of course your opponents using gifs, age jokes, adding in his HC record and questioning the english language, didn't hurt either. lol

Im going to assume that the players Debord met with and the recruits seemed to have signed off on him so that is enough for me to trust the guy, I guess.

Could be right for both?

You've got a better chance of winning the lottery than that happening.

Its one or the other its never both. Butch got a butch guy not a guy who can get Tennessee championships.

A yes man.
A figure head.
A fella who won't buck the system.
