TENNESSEE FOOTBALL 2017 SCHEDULE
Date Opponent
Sept. 4 vs. Georgia Tech^ L Tennessee doesent contain the edge or play discipline football.
Sept. 9 INDIANA STATE W Tennessee shouldn't even be playing this game
Sept. 16 at Florida* L As much inexperience as this team will have I don't think they have enough to win on the road
Sept. 23 UMASS W unlike Florida we beat them
Sept. 30 GEORGIA* L Georgia will be out for blood and a lot better on both sides. No miracle here.
Oct. 14 SOUTH CAROLINA* L until Butch proves he can beat Muschamp I'm chalking this up as a loss
Oct. 21 at Alabama* L and probably held to single digits or worse
Oct. 28 at Kentucky* W
Nov. 4 SOUTHERN MISS W
Nov. 11 at Missouri* W
Nov. 18 LSU* L more talent on both sides and we won't stop guice from 300+ and a heisman moment
Nov. 25 VANDERBILT* L

Butch is fired.

And keep in mind that this only happens if butch doesn't piss the bed again and lose one Tennessee should win.

All you 8 or 9 win guys are living with a false sense of reality

Please folks, if Debord retires it's probably because he's over all the *****in and crying.
The offense put enough points on the board in almost every game this year. Yes we needed more in the 2nd half in Nashville.

If someone is leaving I would suggest Shoop. I dont care how banged up there were he should have figured out something this late in the year. Hell the d keep sliding father down the slop as the season played out.

Keep this in mind, as bad as we feel right now every team in the conference will have 4 or more losses after Saturday except "one". Yes we should be going to Atlanta but we did not. Should every team in the conference replace their coaches?

The SEC is sucking right now and none of the coaches in the EAST strike fear in their opponent.

Butch isnt going to call the plays. Hes just going to tell his OC these are the only plays youre allowed to run. You pick between these 3 plays. Lol.

Doubt it....he knows it's a $h!t-show as long as Butch is in charge. I'd say that young man is relieved.

Hurd probably at least feels a little vindicated in all this. Sure he should have stuck it out until the end of the season before bailing, but I can see why he skipped town a little clearer now after the Vandy game.

They want everyone to be ok with 8-9 nothing more it's sickening

"B-b-but we're not historically a 10-11 win team. You're spoiled....lower your expectations. Butch said 8 wins is good....we're going to a bowl. What's you're problem? Heat better than the last guy....just be happy."

I'm not convinced that Shoop isn't going to bolt. Also, I don't get why another teams suckitude should make us feel better.

The "as long as we win" mentality.
Some are so set in the grove of mediocre they just say ok and nothing more.

No titles no championships just middle of the road.

I certainly think he's out. If he's half the DC he said he was then the D should have leveled off and gotten better at some point even with injuries.

I think he tanked after SC and they both are fielding phone calls.

Expect Butch to rest on his laurels that UT hasn't gone to three straight bowls since x year we should be grateful.

I don't understand this at all! with the talent level we have at DE. We should do this a lot better.

IMO, I think it's pretty close. I was thinking somewhere between 5-7 and 7-5. I was just trying to figure out when they might pull the trigger if they fired him during the season. We have a bye after the Georgia game iirc.

I too think it's during the season ala LSU.
When is the hard part.

Haven't been very happy with Debord, however, under the Kamara/Kelly combination, we put up enough points to win most games in the SEC and it looked like Debord eventually found a groove in those games. I'm totally mystified by Shoop. I know all about our injuries on D, but we got gashed by Appy State and Ohio when healthy and it only got worse. The young guys got enoug playing time to figure things out. Something is amiss with the scheme and/or coaching. Hell, let's give Dale Jones a shot. He stymied our offense and we shoulda run away with that game on paper.
