I suppose we the fans who boost/buy tickets/buy subscriptions and merchandise should just be quiet and accept any coach that the AD wants to hire and continue to fork over cash like mindless tools.

If he was so much better in college than NFL he would have been offered a HC position after he left the Bucs. He didn’t “gather himself”. He wasn’t sought. Sure he seems a capable defensive coordinator but his head coaching stats are crap. Like I said, making Rutgers look good is not saying much.

Haslem/Currie and at best a couple more people were the only people attached to UT that wanted him. He's not here because of the rest of the influence at UT didn't want him. Not to mention the GM that hired him to Tampa Bay was fired along with him, and hasn't worked as a GM since.

Shianao is a garbage coach, and by all accounts a garbage human being, and no other school was or is going to hire him as a head coach. The faux-outrage in the media is being drummed up by Sexton's firm because they are losing face with their coaching clients.

He is a spineless puppet that was talking out of both sides of his mouth for the better part of a month. Those not named Halsem finally called their bluff and their propped up AD. He needs to be fired yesterday.

Cute, but you know what? Whether you knew about it before the announcement or not is irrelevant. The guy is far below the standard for the University of Tennessee, both morally and from a coaching standpoint. You want to defend mediocrity, be my guest, but my days of hoping whatever chucklehead staff they cobble together will do anything other than suck the life out of this fan base are done.

You are either a troll or you don't know anything about football. Mike Gundy is one of the best coaches in the country and Schiano got sh*t canned from every head coaching job he's ever had because he's a bad coach, on top of being of questionable moral character.
