Death by Fanbase

Why didn't he stay at Rutgers? He went to the NFL. Just like saban and Spurrier, he didn't have the best luck in the NFL. He then, took a couple years to gather himself, went to osu for two years as dc, and was just offered a hc job, until a bunch of misinformed nuts ran him off. Bs on losing recruits

Do you even read what you post? “Took a couple years to gather himself.” Are you serious? He took a couple years because no one wanted his sorry a#$. Saban and Spurrier went to the NFL and were immediately employed upon their return to CFB. I guess after he gathered himself, the best he could get is DC under Meyer. Awesome. Schiano, such a bada#$. :good!:

That's your argument? Seriously? That right there? He was 68-67, how is the taking it anywhere? Plus, they had one amazing season and then what? Furthermore, what is Rutgers doing now? If he was such a great coach who created a "powerhouse," why aren't we seeing that success continue? Also, what has he done as a DC at OSU? I don't really see talking heads claiming it's the best defense in the land. Oh and what about all the reports regarding his dictatorial like strategy of being a head coach? I seem to remember that being a huge issue with a former head coach, oh that's right, the guy we just fired. Also, why is it that you always resort to insults when someone calls you out? Am I 10? Pretty sure that's SO a 2007 insult. Come one now. We can do better.

Kinda lame. That's like saying when saban leaves Bama, all the following coaches will maintain it, cause Saban built a powerhouse. If that were true, we should have more NC by now cause the coaches that followed Fulmer could in no way destroy the powerhouse he built. Or KState after Snyder, and why they had to bring him back after one coach.

I am finally beginning to see why people hate Tennessee fans. Tennessee could hire the greatest coach in the history of college football and some of you still wouldn’t be happy

You reap what you sow.........or at least what others have sown. It really sucks knowing that we have the most delusional fanbase in college football.

I said it months ago....Chip ain't coming. Gruden ain't coming. If you make a change, make it with a coach in the bag. Fanbase demanded immediate change. The boycott. The Rock.

And since when in this country are you now considered guilty even when you've been cleared? Since Clay Travis said so? Geez people. Schiano was probably as qualified as we were going to get. What coach in their right mind would step into this cesspool, especially given ANY other option?

Freaking heartbreaking. This program was just set back another decade........if we're lucky.

This attitude is why we've been in the sh*tter for a decade. We're all delusional because we demand a higher standard? Or is it because we suck and we should just be happy any warm body with coaching experience happens to wonder in off the street to coach here? Schiano is the best we can do? If that's how you really feel about it then why are you even a fan? No chance in hell should names like Dooley, Kiffin, Jones and freaking Schiano be associated with names like Neyland, Majors, Fulmer and Dickey. Our program deserves better than the trash the last three administrations have pushed on us and people like you have defended.

Schiano sucks as a head coach. Without Ray Rice and Brian Leonard, he's nothing. Butch Jones is better than Schiano.

Hire a guy and during the 1st presser he would have to answer questions about witnessing child molestation....its crazy.

What is also crazy, you supporting it. Its sick. Ut fans did the right thing here.

You're either a troll or a dumba$$.

Upon further reflection, I think you're both..

Not a troll, we'll find out in the coming years if I'm wrong. One thing I'm not wrong about is the tn fanbase look like complete fools right now, y'all did that all on your own...and too dimwitted to realize it

Sounds too convenient. Took a couple years off equates to nobody wanting him as a HC.

If his Rutgers tenure was that impressive the debacle in TB wouldn't prevent him from landing a college head gig for 4 years. He's an average coach that isn't good enough to over come being a d!k. At least not to the point anybody is willing to make him the face of their program.

And to the idea that the "fans" ran him off. You re buying a false narrative from a lazy national media. Haslem/Currie and at best a couple more people were the only people attached to UT that wanted him. He's not here because of the rest of the influence at UT didn't want him. Not twitterverse or a couple hundred poster carriers.

No reason to be ignorant about that.

It is clearly obvious that you have some skin in the game.
So who do you work for?
Currie? Haslam? Sexton?

Whichever of those options it is ( because you aren’t fooling anyone with this degree of persistence) please tell your master that the university will be better off without them and to please leave the university.
We will 100% make a better hire than Schiano!
( that isn’t that hard to do)
So take your agenda and narrative and take it and your handler and go away!
Your line of thinking is what is killing the program not the fans. We are allowed to say we are tired of the bs product that is being pushed on us. The university didn’t have to listen. Wisely they did

We, rightly so, have high expectations of our football team and how it's run. We're one of the most profitable athletic departments in the SEC and entire country, and have been nothing short of dog poo as an athletic department for the past ten years. We almost were given another mediocre head coach with connections to Penn State and Sandusky. With all the money, talent, and pride in and around Tennessee football there's no reason we should have to settle for mediocrity...ever. Hire the best coach available, there's no reason not too.

Now after Sunday, I doubt any big time head coach is going to risk coming to UT. So what we need is UT blood.

Bring Tee Back!!

Yes I do have an agenda at this point...to rub your noses in the jeans you shat in.
