Death and Harm

When the person's right to exist is ended by another entity without that person's consent.

How would you feel about this esoteric discussion, if it wasn't esoteric but real? How about I came over to where you are and make you cease to exist, no harm, or pun, intended.

This is ridiculous.

So, when the other person is non-existent, that is when they are harmed?

Would you like my address?

No, making you cease to exist would be doing you a favor. I cause more harm by not making you non-existent.

Good luck, chasing your own tail. :hi:

When I die, I cease to exist. If I don't exist, I can't be harmed. That is, existence is a necessary condition of being harmed.

So, if I'm alive at moment one and dead at moment two such that there are no moments between moment one and moment two, at what moment does the harm occur?

At the precise moment the ass kickin' starts

That's really the only way I don't want to be killed. Shoot me, stab me, burn me, drown me. But, blunt force trauma? No ****ing thank you.

I guess it would depend on how intense and severe it is. If it's bad enough you'd never know what hit you.

At the moment life ceases... no more harm to that individual. No life to harm. Pain, trauma etc before the end... those are the harm. The want for the pain to stop, the suffering to end can be said to be the cause of the suffering.

Would proximate harm be to those who cared for the now deceased? They are harmed by the death of someone they were close to?

This is how I see it.

That's got to be a really big mother ****er swinging that pipe.

Velocity at impact and region of the brain would be more significant than the size of the person swinging. Lower occipital for Cerebellar/medulla impact would be best, i think.

Your postulation is not plausible.
