I was wrong. I'm sorry.

You play with that level of energy and effort every night, and you'll have a fan for life, here.

Great game!
To lazy for the good Denzel but my man!! To your credit you never say anything bad other than you just don’t see it. And in this case 99% of this board owes him one of these.lol
Myself included

Boswell's defense was a big reason UT was able to slow down Houston's scoring, to get back in the game, and then pull out a win.

Loved the way he went to the hole, too.
He plays so hard on defense. I’ve noticed in two or three games that he just raises his hand for a break and we sub him out. That’s how hard and how much effort he’s putting forth. I’m not for sure I’ve seen anybody else do that. Coach was particularly happy for Boswell!

Love the crow eating thread here. I’ve been typing paragraphs doubting him all season up to now. Getting a fraction of what we got out of him today will be enough to take this team far with the talent around him. He finally looked confident and like he belonged out there today, so happy for him.

Not too proud to own it when I make a stand on a guy. Good on you, as well.

Boswell had a good game tonight, with a team high +12 plus/minus performance. He made it a point to hold on to the ball and be the one to take some vital free throws. I give him a lot of credit for helping get the win tonight and am happy to eat some crow.

At the same time, while I think it is great to give him credit, I also think we need not overhype his performance as well. He has to develop an outside shot or else he will get the Mashack treatment. In fact, I think Houston eventually caught on and at the end of the game it was clear Jakobi was the only threat to shoot outside the paint.

Just wait until Brown hits his stride. If it happens this year and Abrams continues to fit what Barnes wants... whew. We are gonna be a load come March.
My goodness. Them two are gonna give teams fits! Love it! Go VOLS!

Boswell & Carey showed up when it was needed.

Most impressive was the toughness this team showed. Frankly before tonight I didn’t know this team had it.
I'm not gonna say I didn't think about your last sentence. I was frustrated leading up to this game. Good post!

I was very pleased to see our Vols avenge that loss in the Elite Eight.

Nice quote from Coach Kelvin Sampson:
“The kid that should be mentioned, though, not a lot of people will remember his impact, but it was Bishop Boswell. He impacted that game. No idea what his future holds in this game, but that kid is a winner. He was the toughest guy on the floor tonight.

Our kids did a lot of good things. We’re up nine or 11 — what was our biggest lead, 11? Yeah, right about then is where the foul line started to come in. They scored a bunch of free throws down the stretch the first half. It has nothing to do with Boswell. A lot of respect for that young man. He’s tough and he’s a winner. Every coach in America would love to have Boswell.

Cautiously optimistic, but after beating Houston and hanging close with Duke I feel that this could be the team to finally get to a Final Four and put a gold tab on the back of our jerseys. Usually Barnes's teams get better as the season goes on too, so the fact that they look solid early is very promising.

Yup, I believe we had a convo in the regulars thread about how our ceiling was disappointingly low with Boswell getting minutes. Being our MVP in a win against Houston has already proved us wrong there. Never been happier to be wrong about a guy.

He's a defensive dog, but also has some offense... I'm curious why Abrams was starting over him, but that's a small detail in his career here.

Go Vols!
