I heard 3rd hand that Steele has been made an offer and the ball is in his court. This is the level of hire that we need at DC. However, I don't think that Steele came here with the intent of being a DC. Also, the events that led to Malzahn being shown the door and Steele's potential involvement in that make me a little uneasy.

That's him and he was part of the ncaa sanctions we got. He had several of the female recruiting chics or whatever they are called all go visit players..So he's a definite hell no.

I want this, we need that, we need to go after him, this is what we should do.....why don't we let him hire his staff. I remember when Pruitt and Ainsley came on board we were going to be the greatest thing since slice bread, how did that work out for us. The bottom line is most people on here look at every ex SEC coordinator that had some success and we automatically want them. Maybe it is time to try someone from the Pros or someone that he knows that none of us have ever heard of. I am not sure we could do much worse than we have in the past going for everybody else's retreads.

Muschamp is just going to simmer on his massive buyout and work for peanuts with his buddy Kirby at UGA, his alma mater.

Muschamp will -not- come here. If I'm wrong, which I'd love to be, I'll gladly eat crow over it... but Muschamp will not leave a position making UGA better to come here to one of his likely most hated programs and fanbases.

Dude just got paid like $13mil... he doesn't need the $1.5mil/year for 3-4 years until JH gets fired.

Unfortunately it is speculation made by those of us who do not have a clue what the HC thinks gives him the best chance to succeed. He was hired because he has a sense of what it take to be a successful coach in big time NCAA football. That is something I doubt anybody on this site has a clue about. I agree just let him do his job.
