So let me get this straight.... We bring in Shoop and he brings in Josh Gattis (WR Coach) and Jim Haslett (LB Coach/Defensive Consultant) and we lose Thig and WM? Why would we not lose Thig and CZA since Gattis coaches WR's? I love the idea of Shoop, but I hate the idea of losing Thig. He's a great recruiter and a good LB coach as well. Is there anyway we could keep Thig or have Haslett move into his same consultant role? Just curious
Me thinks though dost protest too much.
That's why every sec team except Fla kicked their arse.
That's not the point. You called it a down year for their conference, which it wasn't. It was the strongest their conference has been in years. That doesn't mean the conference itself is great. The two issues aren't mutually exclusive. The Big 10 can pale in comparison to the SEC and still be the strongest it has been in years.
I have heard rumor of a growing rift between Thig and Buck Fitzgerald, which as you may or may not know, is a key contact with the booming list of prospects from the midstate. Thig also burnt the bridge with Van Jefferson by calling his mother a b!tch within earshot of her IIRC.
When you compare to SEC this year they did not do well in bowls this year as compared to last. So yes down would be acurate.
Uga scored more pts against a more talented ut team then against PSU. He also shut down high flying ut offenses with candy talent
