TIFWIW... usually wouldn't just post the latest rumor on the message boards, but there were multiple threads started at the same time by different folks. Seems like the word has gotten out.

Brad Sheppard of The Bleacher Report, who I wouldn't trust, but I'll post anyway for the heck of it, says that Shoop is offered and if he doesn't take it today, Butch will be meeting with Chizik tomorrow.

I'm seeing the same thing. Of course nothing is ever official until it's announced but Butch has had to known that Shoop was going to be his guy all along. It would have been stupid for him to fire JJ if he wasn't confident in coming to an agreement with Shoop. If true, props to Butch for making a great hire!

I hope this is the case. Makes sense for Shoop if he can get us rings at some level it catapults him to a HC somewhere. He will have the horses to stop anybody.

From a recruiting stand point it's a no brainer for Orgeron to be at a Mississippi school, JUCO's would be locked down.
