I thought he was a pretty solid coach and recruiter. Would Shoop (presuming he is the DC) bring someone with him?

You know this how? Todd Kelly isn't a Mid state kid...It's kind of weird the 1st name you see when you look at following is Bob Shoop though... I'm not saying you are wrong, but there is no time stamp that I saw

It would make sense. Most DCs worth anything would ideally like to have a say in who works under them. With Strip doing a great job, Thig considered an asset, allowing the DC to choose a DB coach may be part of the deal.

Personally I think it has been Shoop all along and he was offered and accepted before CBJ and CJJ had their "sit down". Butch is smarter than a lot will give him credit for and if it works out like I believe it will this will be a very very smart move.

Martinez, Azzanni and Mahoney are all on the chopping block from what I understand. Feelings are going to be hurt but its just part of the business.

You pay someone 1.3 a year in the coordinator position (especially at UT) they can pick their staff imo.
