David Oku signs with Tennessee

Wow...big news.

Didn't think he was going to announce until after BB....

Will he be able to qualify?

Brown is going to be a vol, OKU is all vol, Basketball worked USCe, the ladies won, and bammers are looking at sanctions...what a beautiful night for the VOLS

Wow, I am shocked by this. Did not see it coming at all. He was one of my favorite recruits way back when, so I am stoked. He is a very exciting talent.

DDDDAAAAUUUMMMMNNNNN!!!!!

What a Day!!!!!

Just hope he qualifies.....now, come on down Brown and Charles!!!!!!

Hey Rivals....top 10 class for sure now!!

Go Vols!!!!

On a bright note, he didn't set an announcement date to garner attention.

yes and waiting til after signing day gives you even more attention

i'm just not 100% sold on the guy. is he talented? of course, but he's also got some red flags around him as well

He really sounded like he was hijacked and forced to make decision for some unknown reason...

Maybe knowing that he's becoming dad pushed him to grab the bulls by its horns...

Was just looking at the ESPN "top 150" of which we signed 5. Askew was always there for us, a solid recruit. Kiffin and co. closed on the other 4 Nukeese, Janzen, Myles Jr. and Oku. Well done.

I had hoped that Oku wouldn't end up with us after hearing what the Oklahoma fans had to say about him...maybe they were just bitter, I don't know...but I didn't like the prima donna attitude they attributed to him.

Edit: I should say, though, prove them (and me) wrong, Mr. Oku, please!

I'm not counting on a textbook violation sticking at Bama. It's just too hard to believe that textbooks would ever be associated with Bama.

It's probably just a play on Saban's part to convince the NCAA that his players actually do schoolwork there.

That's funny.

Welcome to UT Mr. OKU!!!!
