Da'Rick Rogers suspended indefinitely (merged)

If Da'Rick is off the team, might be time to stop recruiting 5* guys.

Bryce Brown, Janzen Jackson, Da'Rick Rogers, Markeith Ambles...

Might have been better off if the first three followed suit and never donned the orange like Ambles.

Kids today... they need someone like Eric Berry to meet them over the middle and keep them in check. At least he had a good head on his shoulders.

Idiot post of the day. And that's saying a lot.

You calling anyone an idiot is funny.

The fact that you take everything literal is funny too.

I pointed out all of the 5*'s we've been in on that have been complete headcases. Pretty sure I could go down the list and find more. At the very least, find more busts. Kenny O'neal was a really good 5* recruit.

Da'Rick and Janzen both get kicked off the team right before the season starts. Bryce lasted a season. Ambles, he would have been another waste of time if he had followed through with his commitment. He got booted from USC and I'm guessing that's pretty hard to do.

So when do we find out what this so called "incident" was? Dooley said in his presser he contacted DR yesterday after it happened.

When I saw this story, I was surprised that I was even able to log onto Volnation this morning. I figured the site would have melted down by now.

So he's off the team officially? If it is academics dont the have like some kinda suspension program so they can come back. Its happened to other players before just saying

So, you say it was not meant to be taken literally........and then you immediately try to defend said post as to be taken as literal?

Makes total sense.

Genius, actually.

It's called satire.

If you can't see the correlation, I don't know what to tell you. I figured you would be so smart and all being a "Doc" and what not. Might be time for you to step back from your computer Elmer Fudd and take a swig of that lame bacardi crap you drink.

Be careful not to run over that crow whilst backpedaling.

This has sunk in with me since this morning and I really disagree with many, but this hurts..... a lot imo

I remember it was the end of the world when James Banks was booted, too. Pretty sure that life will go on.
That DID set the program back! I remember that vividly. Changed the whole complexion of the offense, just like Reggie Cobb hurt this team when he got suspended.

Key players getting kicked off the team NEVER helps...it always has an impact. If Croom can step up and ball out as a freshman, then I think losing DR is mitigated greatly.

But CP is new as well. He's still having to adjust to the learning curve, himself.

Everyone take a deep breath. In my opinion, there are two possible scenarios. 1) He's suspended for the first two games and comes back for Florida or 2) He's gone. Either way, the silver lining here is that if Dooley is comfortable benching or kicking Da'Rick off the team a week before kick off for whatever reason, then that means he's seen huge things out of Hunter and Patterson and he thinks he can afford to lose him. That in itself has me really excited to see what these other guys can do. I think CP is going to be a complete beast! I would hate to lose Da'Rick, but he's always been a bit of a drag on the team morale with his attitude. It may be for the best. If he does stay, I hope he learns from this and comes up big on the field. It's still great to be a Tennessee Vol, so let's not make this the death of the season before it even starts.

That would be great if Dooley hadn't been forced to do this from above.

Absolutely. They only way it will take some sting off is for this team to come out and play ball and win the first 3 games. If we wake up Sept. 16th 3-0, I think it will lift some pain. We wake up 1-2, were f***ed.
