Da'Rick Rogers suspended indefinitely (merged)

Everyone take a deep breath. In my opinion, there are two possible scenarios. 1) He's suspended for the first two games and comes back for Florida or 2) He's gone. Either way, the silver lining here is that if Dooley is comfortable benching or kicking Da'Rick off the team a week before kick off for whatever reason, then that means he's seen huge things out of Hunter and Patterson and he thinks he can afford to lose him. That in itself has me really excited to see what these other guys can do. I think CP is going to be a complete beast! I would hate to lose Da'Rick, but he's always been a bit of a drag on the team morale with his attitude. It may be for the best. If he does stay, I hope he learns from this and comes up big on the field. It's still great to be a Tennessee Vol, so let's not make this the death of the season before it even starts.

The problem with Rogers involves acts of insubordination (missing meetings and functions, exploding on coaches, etc.). If you want to lose a locker room real quick, you let him get away with that crap. If you want a cohesive team, you deal with him severely until he (1) gets with the program or (2) gets his @$$ on down the road.

You DO NOT placate a cancer.

Bingo. Dooley's not snakebit. He created this mess.

maybe....just maybe....

it is possible that only CD and DR knew in the spring he would get a 1 game suspension as to not cause an even worse media stir.

Perhaps his Twitter comments about "what up Georgia State" were directed at this fact because it will be his first game back

Might be on to something.

Oh snap. Nice look. Elementary my dear Watson.

If he is to be kicked off would they not have just done it when he failed it? Why suspend him indefinitely unless you expect him to be back?

If I can pass a drug test to get a minimum wage job at office depot, then why can't these guys make it happen to make millions of dollars in the NFL? Either Marijuana is more addictive than most everyone gives it credit for or these players, all those that waste opportunities to go pro (Rogers, Honey Badger, ect), are even stupider than one could imagine.
