There are a lot of schools that have different abbreviations for their athletic departments compared to their academia abbreviations. For example: University of Colorado Boulder(CU-athletics, UCB or CU Boulder-academic).

Oh I know haha...I think I have argued with him before but can't remember...I just get annoyed easily when people try to call out "trolls" even though they don't say anything negative about the university! Appreciate the advice though!

Everything was going well for defensive line recruit Dante Phillips...and then it wasn't. Phillips was an ESPN 150 recruit among the 2012 class and committed to Florida in February. The school then denied him entrance at the last minute due to academics despite being cleared by the NCAA.

Phillips is now searching for a new home. He already visited Western Kentucky. Tennessee received a visit Sunday according to Volquest.com and relayed by RockyTopTalk.com.

If Phillips decides to commit to Tennessee in the near future, he would play this fall as the 23rd member of the team's 2012 class. Phillips has the size and ability to receive immediate playing time along the Volunteers' thin defensive line rotation as a 3-4 defensive end.

Phillips may not decide immediately. It's believed he will still visit Miami as well.

"Damon Wilson (Phillips' stepfather) said the plan is for Phillips to return from each visit, weigh the pros and cons, and then go on to the next visit," Matt Shodell of CaneSport.com reported. "He said a final choice should be reached 'in the next seven to 10 days.'"

I said "there" because I was not at the school at the time Lane left. I went to a smaller school and rooted for UVA b/c the wife went there (now she goes to UT and likes it more) so I did not really claim a "team" per se. I liked Dooley back then, and I love him now.
I don't know what definition truly encompasses the term "trollery" but I am guessing that said definition is a grim prognostication into the fan or person I am.

I am and always will be a power "T" fan. My kids are growing up in Knoxville. This is my home, and it will be my alma mater forever. Go Vols!!!

It's not UTK Law school. Most people call it UT College of Law.

Negateer...why are you so worried on how people use abbreviations??? UTK is the "official" abbreviation for the university...the athletics department uses UT for simplicity reasons and it is easier to market.

Yeah, people call it UT College of Law. For short the term UTK Law is used also; but most do verbalize UT College of Law. Look at their twitter handle... https://twitter.com/utklaw
Not many say UTK Law, but it is used in short hand, and I have even seen the Dean of Admission write UTK Law on a letter (I even think she said it as UTK a few times to me). Most of the Law Professors and Dean call it UT. "Here at UT..." For the purpose of writing it shorter than UT College of Law, I would rather use UTK Law as the legitimate nickname comes from the Law School.

Glad to see your post with all that UT College of Law vs. UTK Law off topic muck. OK, since I hadn't seen any link that verified Dante was a Vol and had read posts that he was still considering other schools, especially Miami, I decided to nose around. I found this:

Don't sleep on Pellissippi State now. It's a fine academic institution. Some of UT's finest drop-outs have bettered their GPAs at PSCC, unbeknownst to their parents.

Knoxville offers many anger-management groups at little to no cost. I would recommend trying ine out if you are local or seeking one out near where you live if not. I also recommend that if you own a gun that you turn it in to a sane person asap. Also, I recommend getting some. Pay for it if you must. Lastly, I recommend that you try your very best to not be an idiot. That's my advice. Take it or leave it. If you choose to leave it, Darwinism will take care of you soon.
