Man, the football fan inside is happy; but the academic feels horrible. Did we just make our school an academic laughing stock? Recent polling shows academics as rising in the mind of recruits. Look at UVA, Vandy, USC, Stanford, etc to see their signing classes by using academics as a weapon. Is UTK out of the realm of using the "check out our academics" argument when signing recruits?

Wrong.
1. That "polling" was a BS poll conducted by Rivals. Not exactly a blind sample.
2. 2 out of 14 schools in the SEC (not sure about Mizzou or A&M) are AAU schools.

1. So you feel good about UTK academics?
2. Got you, the research angle, but we are not one of the two, right? I thought it was only Vandy and Florida in the SEC?
