You could have attended multiple games for under $30 a ticket. These people are entitled morons
Sure $30 a ticket + processing fee+ transfer fee+ app fee+ taxes + oxygen fee = $200… Danny gets heat and to an extent rightfully so… The online ticket stuff needs to be overhauled and that part of it isn’t on Danny. Danny could score some points from the fans by pushing against. He’s pushed for collective bargaining why not push against the ticekt monopoly

... be-cause the schools profit from the ticket monopoly?

They don't operate in a vacuum. Ticketmaster has partnerships with many schools, including Tennessee.

Weird. It’s almost like you have to earn the 10% talent fee instead of just telling fans this is how it is stfu. Idk what Danny white has done that makes him a top 5 AD. He’s hired Heupel and he’s hired Kim. Two coaches I love but I wouldn’t say either one of their accomplishments put Danny in the top 5. Basketball he had nothing to do with, and in Baseball he had to hire Coach E or people really would have ran him out of Knoxville. Basketball and baseball have been the 2 sports holding it down over there. Football has made a playoff appearance but it’s not like they’ve hung a banner of any kind. The frustration with Danny is justified. Is it over kill to tweet the man or call for his firing?? Absolutely but all these people in here dunking their head in sand acting as if Danny is some kinda gift from god are delusional. Just as delusional as the people who want him fired
Ticket prices are going up everywhere, and I'm pretty sure there are programs who haven't been as good the last few years as us that are more expensive. Tennessee has done more to "earn" the increased prices than some other schools, IMO.

You aren't wrong in saying that he didn't have anything to do with basketball. I will give him credit for being able to keep Tony until he received a "can't say no" gig in MLB and putting a ton of money into what is basically a new baseball stadium. There are a lot of ADs (including DW's predecessors) who would have been unable or unwilling to get the resources necessary to do that.

What DW does is that he "gets it" more than a lot of ADs to. Our NIL collective does pretty well relatively speaking. They went to battle with the NCAA and won over the Nico thing. He's business-minded and forward-thinking in an industry that doesn't have a lot of those people, IMO.

I mean most sports programs have improved since he got here. Baseball won a national title. Basketball has been pretty good as well. Football is better. Most smaller sports are competitive
I don’t dislike him. But I think he gets to much credit. He’s been good at generating revenue. I’ll give him that. Our championship winning BB coach was here when he got here and left on his watch. Not that I think anything he could’ve done would’ve changed TV mind. None of his hires have hung a banner yet. I hope they do.

He inherited a dumpster fire and was following a string of the worst ADs. Hamilton, Hart, Currie, Fulmer. I mean just not being a moron is a huge step up.

Why is going rate for coaches 9 mil and 5 star players and transfers 4 mil? College football games should not be a 1% opportunity. Competition should not equal compensation. The system is outta hand

Price increases aren’t a Tenn problem, it’s a nationwide thing. Issue I have is turning the Neyland experience into a damned dance party of idiots. I’d rather mostly stick to tradition than doing the new trendy thing. Seems to work for a lot of traditional powers.
I like the high energy for certain games but they kept the “party vibe” going last year at the Oklahoma game even right after bad plays near the end of the game seamed to seal it. It was downright embarrassing. They definitely could not “read the room”. Came off like somebody up in the booth was saying “hey keep the base bumpin’ and maybe they won’t notice the scoreboard and that we’re going to lose this miserable game”. Pathetic.

Ticketmaster has the monopoly which is the issue. It’s not living in a vacuum you shouldn’t have to pay $70+ or more in ticket fees competition would drive those prices down. Maybe I’m old school but if I buy a ticket it’s my ticket. People shouldn’t have made up fees and some times a transfer fee when they want to send a ticket to someone else.
