Yesterday, our Coaches and Players played their hearts out. They deserved better than what they received from our kicker.

Those two so called blocked kicks, were not blocks at all. If you go back and watch the tape, the 1st kick hit Cody in the gut, and the 2nd kick was barely 6' off the ground when it got to the line of scrimmage. Yes there was penetration, but dang. Get some air under the ball.

This is another example of how poor our talent had gotten under CPF.

I am proud of this team. They took Bama to the brink and came up one Idiot Kicker short!

I was at the game. The crowd played a huge factor in it. It wasn't his fault.....Cody rushed through the line and just man handled us both times.....Now I agree, he had a good game, but it wasn't all his fault.

Agree, gotta block better. I was there too and I knew he had a rough day so far but I kept thinking he hit that big FG against USC jr. in 2007 and that he had it in him.

Come on guys? The kid is not an idiot.

Granted, I have had little faith in his ability since he blew that 34 yarder at UCLA last year, but we can't blame it all on him.

Anyway, we had a great game. Crompton played great. The defense played great. Our backs ran hard. And most importantly, Bama didn't score a TD.

I am looking forward to future of this program. Kiffin should have no trouble landing big time recruits with the play that we have exhibited this season. At this rate of progression, I think it's entirely possible we will be competing for an SEC championship next year and a NC in two years.

I will be generous and give one of the blocked field goals to the linemen, Lincoln still left 6 points on the field in a game we lost by 2

If DL does his job, we don;t need the Field goal at the end, he was 1-4, not to Blame DL if he was hurt, then that is the coach's fault for sending him out there, or not geting him closer, after all, he was short on a 47 yarder, why think a 44 yarder would be any better.

Sorry but I'm mad as hell, this is a game we should have won. The offense and defence is playing like a top 10 team, but ST's play is like 164th or so, and is 1/3 of the game. It is time to get that part of the game better.

Looking at those kicks, they both really were going far left. I thought they looked like that on the replays but with those pictures it's obvious

Why didn't lincoln borrow some of that tape from bama's kicker kiffin to elevate the ball?

Back off Lincoln he is a good kid. My in-laws are friends with his family they live in the same neighborhood. They are great people and he is a great kid. So he has had some bad kicks, who doesn’t? When JC was stinking you all defended him and said CLK knows what’s best for the team. Well he misses 1 and had 2 blocked, so what. That’s the way it is so stop pointing fingers and start supporting the team. I used to call for JC’s head but realized he’s doing the best he can do. Lincoln had a hurt leg, let’s see you do better with a good leg.

Lets support them no matter what, GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO VOLS.

Now we know why kickers are the most hated guys in football. They don't have to practice like everyone else and then they go out and miss FGs...All they have to do is kick...if I did nothing but kick for three hours a day at practice, I think I could hit FGs...time to have halftime contest, I'm goin' to start practicing right now...

Serious question here: assuming that the game winning FG attempt had not been blocked, was it on line to be good? I have not been able to manipulate the video well enough to really even see the kick.

Serious comment:Lincoln has been blamed for the loss, we shouldn't forget that if he does not execute the onside kick perfectly, we didn't have the chance for a game winner.
