He's the better player. He's more talented. I'm sick of seeing a walk-on out there at MLB when we have a Jarrad Davis clone on our team.

Someone at practice said Bates was practicing with the 1's on Saturday. Take it or leave it, just passing it along.

Of course not. He's a big, physical, talented kid but despite promising to play him a lot last year, the coaches got him no playing time other than special teams. So while we all think he has great potential, we've yet to see him get any significant playing time at all....we don't know what we have in him at this point.

Did they really promise to play him a lot last year? Just wondering

Ha! Do you really think this stuff is negotiated? lol It's all decided in practice and in the meeting rooms. The coaches don't get him or anybody playing time. If he can't beat Jumper and Ignont out for playing time at practice, then he doesn't get the playing time--that's it!

I'll bet those million dollar coaches are really concerned that you've yet to evaluate him. lol

It's KB man. No matter if they promised early playing time or not doesn't mean he understands the position.

You couldn't find a past Tennessee LB to compare him to? Interesting, because there are lots of bad ass LB's in UT's storied history.

I'm just comparing him to who the coaches compared him to last year. Plus physically he looks a lot like Jarrad Davis. Similar measurables. Similar build.

Can Bituli run? The freakish thing about Jarrad Davis was his 4.57 speed at LB while packing 235lbs.

Comparison doesn't hold up unless Bituli can fly.
