When considering end of season rankings, Mullen has beaten ONLY 1 team inside of the top 20 in nine years. Compared to 30-something losses. Not good.

Doesn't matter. Mullen is not coming here. He told his team he's at MSU next year. Surely he's not a lying coach. Seems like some of our players have problems with our previous coaching staff's honesty.

Probably every coach who has ever changed jobs is a liar then. Now you may be right and he ultimately stays at MSU, but there is no doubt he is interested in the right situation. But with games left on your schedule and a good shot at an NYD bowl, something very rare in MSU's history, you want your team focused on that, not on whether or not you may be leaving before that bowl happens. Regardless of whether he plans on leaving or not, he is still currently the MSU HC, and has a responsibility to keep his team focused on their season.

Keep in mind that Mullen has barely beaten UMass two years in a row. He actually lost to South Alabama.

That’s just basically false. The talent discrepancy at UT would be non existent compared to what he has at MSU.

I have stated quite a few damning facts about Dan Mullen. I have not made up anything. You continually attack other members by calling them names, insulting their intelligence, and implying that they are lying. Please try to be civil.

I'm sure he is being honest. But things change. Once they play their last game things will change. I don't we are the only school interested in him.

Almost anyone before Mullen. I think that he's one of the worst... especially for the money.

I like Frost, Petersen, Patterson, Campbell.

A name that I really like, but I don't hear people talking about: Fuente. Fuente was able to do more with less... he knocked off teams that recruited much better than Memphis. I'm just not sure that he'll leave VT anytime soon.

The fact you can’t see that any coach will be able to recruit here shows two things: either your football IQ is very low or you are just that much of a Butch Lover.

Derek Dooley says, “hi.” Why weren’t the top recruits beating down the door to play at UT under him? Hmmm... I thought TN recruited itself. Looks like someone else needs a football iq check. You throw “Butch Lover” around as an insult, yet you want his identical twin brother: Mullen. So... you’re essentially insulting yourself. Nice !

Dooley averaged the #13 Ranked class in 3 seasons and he did everything to burn recruiting to the ground.

Do better, bud.

The good thing about hiring Mullen is all these so called “fans” who claim they will not spend another dollar on UT are gonna create quite the supply of season tickets at cheaper prices, which i was looking forward to buying for first time this offseason. So thank you.

Dooley wasn’t a competent coach. Mullen is. He’s lighthears better than Dooley and Butch. He’s going to develop talent, that’s guaranteed. He’s done it everywhere he has coached. He’s also going to be a competent coach.

As long as he puts in half the effort that Butch put into recruiting, he would do mighty fine here. That much is guaranteed.

If you haven’t supported the team until now, I’m sure they’ll be ok without you moving forward.

He’s had 9 seasons...

That’s all I need to know. I’m sure he’ll continue to be beloved at MSU. I’m happy for him.
