Yea man me too.

It's hard not to cheer for Fitzgerald this year.
He was laying on the ground while they were putting on his air cast pumping up his teammates.

Hope for a quick recovery for that young man

Yeah, I remember that year Butch defeated 3 top 10 teams in consecutive weeks. That was awesome.

Their records are comparable. I know, I know but hes in the SEC WEST. Lets say he moved to the East. His upswing of winning one or two more games a year in the East isn't what we need right now. He would have been a great hire after Kiffin. Now, keep him far far away.

Mullen is a step up from Butch. It's debatable how big a step that is. Currie's statement of expensive and explosive just would be about half true. He'd be expensive but explosive it wouldn't be. Be Currie's backup plan. So in other words he was hoping Butch won just enough to have a excuse to keep him. Who he hires will tell which way it was.

I think most of us want the big 'splash' hire, but at least most of us, though obviously not all of us, realize those options are extremely limited, so we choose to look at coaches we like and we think there is a realistic chance we might get them.

I said from the beginning that of the HCs I thought UT might have a shot at that I had Patterson #1 and Mullen #2. Since of the 2 Mullen has gotten the most traction in the media, which has led to people creating these Mullen threads, I have focused in on Mullen.

I get that a lot of others don't want him and have their own favorites, and that's fine. I am not going to change your mind on who you want and your not going to change my mind. But I am certain that whoever is hired we will support them.

But if we do get that splash hire I will be thrilled.

Low expectations! Kiffen would coach circles around him and we can do better then both . Soon or Paterson or Peterson

Safe to say Mullen is still in play for UF and UT.

The problem with Dan Mullen: one week he’s competitive with Bama, the next week he’s getting his butt kicked at home to an under-manned arch-rival Ole Miss team with an interim head coach and a losing record.

He has plenty of football knowledge and know-how, he’s just wildly inconsistent and I’m afraid he’ll be that way at his next job.
