yep that's right. in the new era of NIL you have to land one of these guys fairly regularly not once in a lifetime. the rules have changed.

Who needs to get these guys? Michigan didn't have any, and neither did UConn. Edey did a lot for Purdue but he didn't get them a title (and he wasn't a transfer). If anything you're looking at teams that put together a great transfer class getting to the top, rather than the teams grabbing one historic scorer.

well yeah it can't just be ONE guy. that's why I said earlier in this thread that this guy would be a great 6th man but he's not "the guy". we need a guy that can score a whole lot more points per game.

I pointed out that you were saying for us to get a rare 25 point average player every year and said that was right. It's fine that you changed your opinion but you should be aware that you changed it.

Michigan’s leading scorer averaged 15.1 PPG. Perhaps your view is slightly off. 6th man averaging that is silly.

DK averaged 20.2 at Northern Colorado, 21.7 at Tennessee.

Ja'Kobi averaged 14.7 at Maryland, 18.4 here.

Barnes is friendly to offensive players, as long as they are giving effort on defense.

Fair enough. Abrams averaged 9 points as a freshman in the SEC. Both changed schools every year. Barnes is a culture guy and this just doesn’t look like a recipe too me. Granted, Barnes has earned the right, so we’ll see.

I’m just saying he’s closer to Abram’s than what we were being hinted at with the super team. First Juke, now Dowd, who was entering the portal with a no contact and now he’s trending to Auburn? Auburn? Really?

Barnes made a conscious decision to let all these guys walk. What we have so far is not exactly moving the needle. Still plenty of time, but time is not your friend in the portal.
