I know there are some in here that want Cozart replaced, but I think he is fine as long as dusty bats him in the 7th or 8th hole instead of trying to bat him higher. He is solid defensively and it is not like there are that many short stops available that are upgrades.
I feel you. If he could hit .250 and field .980+ I'd take it.
Also didn't listen to the reds broadcast today but Tom Brennaman is a clown. Saying that an all star that is 9-3 with a 2.11 era sucks. Especially when this same pitcher that supposedly sucks has only given up 2 runs in 18 innings against you.
Step back and see: Dusty allowed the probability of his team winning to diminish drastically..because of an individual Statistic.
LOL! Did not hear that one. Classic. Choo and the pitchers showed up - the rest must have overslept. I am tired of ranting about Votto. What a wuss. Gets all giddy about his walks and singles. Is lousy on the basepaths. BP has 35 more RBI's. Walt better do a blockbuster or it is going to be 10 years of this azz clown show pony.
Jacoby has to go soon. Bruce and Cozart are burning up good careers without any help from the hitting coach to fix the obvious. Both of them love to flail at outside crap. Automatic outs. So undisciplined, refuse to stay behind the ball and keep their lead shoulders in. Bruce will do it right for a month and then revert. Cozart never has done it right. Yet, they both have live bats and could be really good hitters.
So we've got a manager that has burned up arms for three different teams over 20 years, plus his hitting coach that has been asleep for years while good players burn up their careers. Great.
Brian Kenny is really ranting about Dusty on twitter tonight. Haven't seen the exact comment myself but according to Kenny when Baker was asked why he left Bailey in, he said it is because he wanted to try to get Bailey the win.

At what point are people going to realize that Bruce is what he is. He's been the exact same since he came into the league.
As for Cozart, he was never a highly regarded prospect so to expect him to be anything better than average at best is unrealistic.
I'm not a fan of their overall approach or of Jacoby in general but there is no hitting coach in the MLB that takes below-average prospects and makes them above average or better. At the end of the day Cozart just is what he is and that is a below average Major League hitter.
