Da Reds thread

Proud of Homer! Hopefully he is finally starting to figure it all out. A good off season of S&C should finish the job. I am starting to see some chips for Walt to play in the offseason to strengthen the team.

I have given Jay Bruce crap all season for his inconsistency. But my wife pointed out something to me that may actually be right on him. He changed his body in the off-season with a personal trainer and lost some weight. Gave hima a quicker bat, but also changed his natural timing. He needs an off-season to adjust and make a few minor changes to keep his focus longer on the pitch and go the other way more. When he gets this his average will jump 30+ points and will take the next step toward real stardom.

I think so. If Votto hadn't gotten hurt, he probably wins the MVP, which would have revved up the hype machine a little more. Aroldis will be so, so fun to watch in the postseason.

All espn talks about are the yanks, and the natinals. It's like we didn't even make the post season.

The giants are a somewhat scary matchup, to me. Reds are my second favorite team. And the thought of Cain, Bum, down 2-0 is worrisome.

Cueto is every bit as good as Cain, and we smacked him around the last time we faced him. I am more worried about Bumgarner

Wasn't down playing cueto at all. He has been awesome this year. Probably better than Cain.

Bumgarner has been less than stellar lately. Cain was lights out in the 2010 post season. I think they split in San Fran and take care of business at home.

I started this thread five and a half years ago, and we finally have a playoff win to show for it. Go ****ing Reds

With many more to enjoy in the coming years my man - many more. BRM revival! By the way, thanks for starting it. That was pre-Walt Jockety, so it was a step of faith for sure.

Glad I got to see them play the Tigers in June. That could be a coming attraction if it all goes right for both teams.
