Da Reds thread

This team is a lot better than that team was.

reality time. no astros brewers or rockies. have padres, pirates and mets. reds won't have a winning record in the next 10. feels exactly like 2010. the only good news is krusty won't be back for the 13 season, which is a huge part of the problem. highly predictable.

I am a helluva negative fan, but you take it to another level. I remind you that they won the division in 2010, and again this team is MUCH better than that one was, and that is in no way debatable. Anyone that can look at the two pitching staffs and not see the difference needs the reality check.

I've been thinking the same thing but wanted to give you the benefit of the doubt champy. It's unnecessary to be as negative as you are. They have one of the best records in baseball. They have a top 5 pitching staff and they're doing it with half the games played in GABP. Why are you so down on them??

They have THE best record in baseball, and the run differential is creeping up, so the Expected Win % and Pythag are very close to the record. Basically they are right where they should be, and they are doing it the way that good teams always do it. A little better than .500 against the good teams, and beating the snot out of the bad teams.

Saw Billy Hamilton play last night. Only saw two at-bats due to rain, but got to see one of the craziest things I've seen in baseball. Smokies played the infield in on both of his at-bats in the 1st and 3rd innings. It was unbelievable.

There was a point a couple months into the season where he was hitting over .300 on cleanly fielded infield ground balls. Hamilton has a level of speed that just doesn't happen.

5-5 out of last ten. am i still negative since i saw this coming. they can't hit the damn ball. votto better come back soon or the reds will be outta first place by september. anybody could look at that lineup and realize that stubbs and ludwick were not going to keep rolling like that. also baily and leake haven't been very good of late either. swept by the brewers if they hold the lead in the ninth. what a joke.

for the reds to make a solid playoff run they had to have another bat. thats why i'm down. i see the reds possibly making the playoffs, but a team that can run 3 solid pitchers out against us and it is over. especially solid lefties.

I knew they couldn't keep it up for too long without Votto but getting swept by the Brewers hurts! And I agree that we could have used another left handed bat. I still think that anything can happen though. It's all about getting hot at the right time.

true, if you would have told me a month ago stubbs was going to go on a 2 and a half week terror i would have laughed. i just don't understand jock's thinking. also i don't understand why heisey plays at all he is horrible. they should bring up willie harris to replace valdez he is ice cold to.

wow i hate being right. well atleast dusty will be gone when we lose the division. this team is playing horrible ball right now.

Drove through cinnci last Friday night, on way to Nashville, put a hex on reds , didn't work lol. My son went to the Sunday game, at least they won that game. We couldn't even capitalize off the reds losing streak.

only 3 games back. if the reds can't hold it i would rather the pirates take it than the cardinals.

Getting this hat!
