Da Reds thread

When you get up 0-2 you gotta throw it in the dirt if you're throwing a bender...you give a guy an opportunity to stick his bat out there like that because of the slow pitch...

heard welsh talking about the change in the rotation that now allows volquez to face carpenter when we play the cards next. why in the world we we march him out there to implode and possibly get the cards hot? we have better starters and if i had my pick as to who should throw that game it would be bronson or anybody, but volquez. i mean really, give us a better chance to compete against a great pitcher like carpenter. they must know something that is not obvious to me and the rest of the fans that volquez is better than his outings thus far. i might sound crazy, but if homer and cueto catch fire than volquez should one of the pitchers sent down until he proves he is a quality #1 starter if it is possible. in the rotation thus far he is the weakest one. sorry for the venting, but if the guy can't get it done then put someone on the mound who can. these 1st inning implosions if they keep mounting will give us a lot more losses than wins. just how i see it at least.

Wood or Royo should face Carp. End of story. I simply cannot understand why Dusty keeps putting Volquez into these situations.

If you pushed Volquez back to Saturday then who pitches Friday? Surely you don't throw Wood tonight and then bring him back again on Friday. This week is; Wood, LeCure, Arroyo, Leake, TBA. Unless they plan on bringing someone up to start for Leake or Arroyo I am not sure how it's going to be possible...

Fair, but the planning for this one was awful
