Da Reds thread

They need to send Marte down we have too many outfielders producing at Louisville not to make a move.
Marte needs to go down to play everyday and work things out. We see what happens when there is a legit bat waiting to move up like with Sal. Give somebody else a shot to prove themselves. The org has traditionally been too slow bringing the talent up to keep the arb clock from ticking. You can't win consistently with that method IMO. A hot bat can help carry a team when the regulars are slumping a bit.

That is good news and the truth anyway. Good correction.

After all of the bad luck starts to seasons, this has been encouraging. We are seeing the benefit of having Tito big time this time around.

More consistent offensive production would help even more.

Tito frustrates me sometimes but the guys seem to love playing for him and are actually winning. That’s more than David Bell could do.

Rece Hinds hasn’t been in the lineup for Louisville since Sunday. Wonder if we might call him up when we get back to Cincinnati Friday? 🤔
Pre-game radio broadcast for Louisville, Nick Curran mentioned that Rece Hinds is out of the lineup as he deals with a “personal family situation”.

For sure sign Sal. I don't worry about him getting complacent. Give him generational wealth right now. We blew about a hundred million total on Shogo, Moustakas and Candelario
I agree. They need to lock in on productive guys who want to be lifers in the org. It's the best way for small market teams to take advantage of their farm systems. Sal is worthy to be face of the org for a decade. They need a few more who earn it to build a core for winning.

Now bring up Rodríguez and play guys who can hit the ball. Enough with the sub Mendoza line crap.

Only guy I’m ok with playing everyday hitting like he does is Hayes because of his defense but it’s a struggle to mask that when only 2 or 3 guys are hitting in the rest of the lineup.

I still have no idea why Bleday and Hinds are both not up with the big league squad. Our outfield is one, if not the worst, in the league offensively.

Second! Went to see them in their only loss to the Rockies last year. 😅 I went there intending to cheer on the Rockies and Beck (used to live in Denver) but I've developed a soft spot for the Reds after being at GABP for a game and living in the area.

I took my dad and mom back in 2019 and saw the Reds beat the Cardinals. It was during that home run heater Aristides Aquino was on that year. Glad my dad who was a life long Reds ran got to see GABP before he passed. He was the one that made me a Reds fan.

Just hope they actually give him legit playing time to get adjusted and not spot ABs. While we’re at it get Bleday up as well.

3 hits, 2 runs + great pitching = W? Don't count on that happening very often.

Something is just off with what they are trying to do at the plate. It cannot continue and them be successful.

Tito said it’s Pagan’s hammy that they’re gonna look at. Singer had X-rays on his foot and they came back good.
