Da Reds thread

The team keeps fighting even with its deficiencies. Future looks good no matter how this season turns out if they solve the pen issues and add a good bat to the line-up in the off season. Could be setting up for a good run as an org.

Tito frustrated me a lot this season and Im not sure how I feel about him going forward but I’m going to celebrate this. First real playoff appearance in 12 years. Playing with house money now go steal 2 wins from the Dodgers.

I agree. I've been disappointed with Francona's in game managing beginning with Opening Day and using Ian Gibaut to close a one run game...and ending with game 162 as he leaves his best hitters on the bench (Stephenson, Stewart, Benson). But his worth I guess is in what he does off the field. They say that's translated into wins and they needed every one of them

Agree with both you and Burhead.

I am hoping that having Tito will encourage a couple of good FA signings in the offseason. But the lineup and in-game decisions are frustrating at times. The way to compensate for manager deficiencies is with a stronger roster. The mistakes get amplified when the roster is marginal.

Probably two and done, but happy they made it. Step in the right direction.

So we’re starting the guy (Littell) who has given up the most home runs in MLB against the team that has hit the second most in baseball in game 2. Pitching Lodolo yesterday was a huge mistake. I’d almost see if Abbott could pitch game 2 on 4 days rest and go all in.

They need to clean house new ownership, fire Krall, fire Tito and get someone from outside the organization that is young and has modern thinking to go with this core group. I’m so freaking pissed off right now. We’re the only team going home today of all the teams that lost yesterday unbelievable.

And I’m close to giving up on Elly too for supposedly a young superstar he makes way too many errors in the field and never seems to come up clutch in big time moments when his team needs him.

Just so defeated. Cincinnati is one of the best baseball towns and this is organization has a proud history but the Castellinis have just about destroyed this team. The fan base deserves a lot better.

Your ownership complaints are absolutely completely valid.

However, I think your FO and manager did a great job this year and you guys have some really fun pieces moving forward.

Learning curves, Reds remind me of the Royals in early to mid 2010's ... Took them a couple of Playoffs to get to promise land.. as a Dodgers fan I will say this . You guys need offense, the pitching is pretty sound ...
