Da Reds thread

Tito frustrated me a lot this season and Im not sure how I feel about him going forward but I’m going to celebrate this. First real playoff appearance in 12 years. Playing with house money now go steal 2 wins from the Dodgers.

I agree. I've been disappointed with Francona's in game managing beginning with Opening Day and using Ian Gibaut to close a one run game...and ending with game 162 as he leaves his best hitters on the bench (Stephenson, Stewart, Benson). But his worth I guess is in what he does off the field. They say that's translated into wins and they needed every one of them

Agree with both you and Burhead.

I am hoping that having Tito will encourage a couple of good FA signings in the offseason. But the lineup and in-game decisions are frustrating at times. The way to compensate for manager deficiencies is with a stronger roster. The mistakes get amplified when the roster is marginal.

Probably two and done, but happy they made it. Step in the right direction.

So we’re starting the guy (Littell) who has given up the most home runs in MLB against the team that has hit the second most in baseball in game 2. Pitching Lodolo yesterday was a huge mistake. I’d almost see if Abbott could pitch game 2 on 4 days rest and go all in.
