Da Reds thread

* Chase Burns had an MRI after feeling discomfort after throwing in Pittsburgh. Got the arm worked on on Tuesday and was really stiff Wednesday. "So rather than mess around with it, we went and got him the MRI. And for a while there, we were kind of pretty nervous, but from listening to (Dr. Tim) Kremchek and (Dr. Andrew) Razzano, they say you're going to be fine." Best case is that Burns spends minimal time on 15-day IL and returns available to pitch in September.

Last night was the perfect example of being owned by the Brew Crew.

You should never lose a game you are leading 8-1. It happens, but it shouldn't. It points out pitching deficiencies in the roster. They are not able to hold consistently.

Learning how to win tight games is exasperating to watch at times. The end of that game was why they don't make the playoffs - if they don't. It has happened too many times this season. Three errors and walking batters at critical times in a game is the recipe for L's.

Tried to give it away again. At least they stopped the Brewers win streak and still have not been swept in a series this season.

They need to fix the pen issues to have a chance at the playoffs.
