Freak accident - but lucky it hit where it did according to the docs. He seems to be responding well, joking and seeing visitors. Slight concussion. Not sure there is anything that can practically be done to protect pitchers more. Kind of like NASCAR, "just one of them racin' deals."

Maybe you can. Give it a shot. They hold try outs every year. Oh, you mean for somebody that actually plays to do it.

Cunningham interview with Walt in the off season. Check it out for yourself. If he doesn't start being the old Joey he will be moved to the 2 hole. He's already said he was fine with it if it happened.

I like winning much better than stats rankings. Winners sell out for the good of the team. Do what the team needs, which may not be what you personally like to do. Like BP has for years. Like Bruce is starting to do.

Give me the .320/30+/100+ Joey every day of the week. That other one that watches all those pitches and strikes out as much as he walks costs the team wins. Which is the only stat that matters.

I thought there was a couple former players last year trying to get the league to come up with some kind of protective pitcher headgear.

Oh and it costs you so much you made the playoffs last year.

between votto, phillips, bruce, and luddy. the reds this spring are sucking horribly. hamilton and heisey seem to be the only 2 that want to play. cueto scratched today for sore shoulder and bailey is already saying his butt hurts since he got the money. walt needs to retire and we need to go with a younger GM. i really don't think we will be .500 this year. this team is waiting to implode.

you really don't need statistical data just watch the games. i'm taking it you are not a reds fan. last year when the game was on the line joey sucked. jocketty was an idiot to sign a headcase like votto for that many years. he's got his money now he is all good. i picked the reds 3rd this year behind the cards and pirates.

no what i love is with game on the line and a tough lefty in it is always a weak grounder or a k. not worth what he is getting paid.

They share my and Champy's opinion that the window is likely closed or rapidly closing. May be net sellers after this season. Would be silly to deny the obvious pitching staff problems with 4 pitchers on the 40 man probably starting the season on the DL. But I am sure Joey's OBP will save the day!
