Season's over. There still needs to be a purge of losers, (Volquez, Gomes, Janish, Heisey, Bray, and Masset) before this group maxes out. 2012 should be excellent.

Well, I have to disagree with you on that one. Especially, when it comes to Phillips.

I think the fan vote sways to popularity more so than the right guys starting or even making the allstar team for that matter.

You have more faith in Mil and Stl than I do. Agree on Volquez and Gomes. I thought Heisey was doing well off the bench?

Heisey is a pure guess hitter though. That's how he can hit home runs in PH roles, hit three in a game, then strike out with the bases loaded twice in a game. Good defensive player, for the most part, though.

Milwaukee is very talented and they know this is their last shot before Fielder hits the road. The Cardinals are in the same boat as the Reds, except they aren't managed by an imbecile.

Can dusty at least shake up the lineup. There obviously will not be a call up, so move some guys around in different spots in the lineup. Not that a call up will be our answer for direct success anyways.

Apparently Dusty and Walt had a closed door sit down after the game. Dunno what is happening from there, but I would expect a decent shake up soon, unfortunately Dusty will still be the manager.

If Cozart isn't the shortstop after the All Star break, Jocketty and Baker should both be fired.

Releasing Gomes and Fred Lewis, so Baker doesn't even have the option of playing their dead asses, would be a good start.

It would be impossible for Cozart to be worse than the current shortstop play and Alonso/Sapplet/Frazier/Any Outfielder with a pulse would be an upgrade over Gomes.
