One can either agree with someone's opinion or disagree with it. 95% of what is posted on VN is opinion, and nobody has the right to tell someone that their opinion is wrong. Agree, disagree and move on.
VolNation. Why is it always the same posters that are always cynical and negative regarding anything TN. Does it make the anonymous feel important? Are they that arrogant to think they know more than the people in charge? Do they just like the Jerry Springer atmosphere on here? Does it give them the chance at a witty retort? What is it? I know its a forum but some of the stuff on here is embarrassing.

I'll attempt an honest, simple answer: Some folks are relentlessly negative, others unwaveringly positive; most fall somewhere in between. It's the way of the world, is nothing new and shouldn't surprise nor annoy anyone. If you look at any other sports forum, you'll see exactly the same thing except it's usually worse.
The real trouble begins when some people feel compelled to opine on -- and (mis)judge -- others' heartfelt opinions instead of the actual points of contention, ascribing motives that probably don't exist and sowing the seeds of discord...which inevitably leads to the "Jerry Springer" atmosphere that pops up in some threads. Most everyone wants to have a voice, but folks need to know when to leave well enough alone.
Want to fight about it?
Lol!
