Cyberpunk 2077

Did a second ending. Much better.

Took me a few tries to get what is strongly hinted at by what you wake up to as being the cannon ending. That one felt like a real close. The others felt like the average Vol game day—a punch in the gut.

Did the secret ending today... was much better solely because it was actually challenging. I went through the first time at level 44 and just hacked and slashed my way through it.

The cut content from this game made for a very uneven experience for me. I'm hopeful for some big DLC content in the future but probably won't be playing it anymore until then.

The first ending didnt make sense for a while. Without doing spoilers it's hard to describe. I can see it being a good ending if that was what you wanted, it just wasnt what I wanted.

Two memorable bugs in my playthrough. Luckily nothing game breaking, but telling as far as the coding maybe.

1) V was getting a mission by holo-phone from the city's top fixer, Rouge, and suddenly I heard her voice both behind and in the phone. Turned and she is actually sitting in the air over a dirty alley as though she was actually there in an invisible restaurant booth. Did the mission and when she called to pay up I could see her in the distance still sit-hovering and talking in her smug superiority.

2) Was in the badlands, still low level, pinned down by a goon with a smart sniper rifle on the top of an air control tower. He popped me 3 or 4 times and then in one of the restarts I accidentally called my car during combat. I vaguely noted that it was many kilometers away as I finally fought my way across open ground and took the tower. When I got to the top my car was up there all bent up, but blocking the sniper from his nest. He was just running blindly into the back of the wreck.

The car stuff has been there from day 1. I am half convinced with all the mentions prelaunch of Roach on a house they did it on purpose. You definitely have to be careful about where you summon it.

Never seen so much shameless clickbait about a video game.

The way search engine algorithms and monetizing structures incentivize stupidity is really insane. The sober take is this is a great game which needs patching like every new release and the major error was selling it as playable on last gen consoles out of the gate. That is a valid criticism. Most of the rest has been silly.

Like Witcher 3, and most RPG-like games with a robust skill tree, you’ll need to play on the highest difficulty if you want any challenge. I hope there are more quality boss fights in the DLC as was the case with Witcher 3. Otherwise, it was a thoroughly enjoyable entertainment, nothing more/nothing less.

I agree selling it as last gen compatible was a huge fricking failure on their part. One of the biggest I have seen from the industry.

But I still think it was a victim of it's own hype. People really wanted this to be something, and a lot had hugely specific ideas about what it "should" be. I still think its catching flak for that too. For that I dont have an issue with what the game is.

I haven't got to progress very far into the game, so I was honestly wondering if it was really that bad or if people were piling on just for the heck of it. I've seen a couple of "potato people" walking the streets, but that's about it. Regardless, that is such a comically heavy-handed tweet.

Prefer the Bugatti look. Not a fan of the wheels though.

The caliburn is a bit squatty imo.

It is the Tron strategy of making something look futuristic by flattening it. The other color schemes hide that better. My daughter was running around City Center trying to steal all the various versions yesterday and got a gold and black one which she promptly wrecked in the harbor. Looked great for a minute though.

Best car practically seems to be the Aldecado modded Mizutani in the Biotechnica area - goes 200 and great for terrain. And it’s fairly cheap.

I run the nomad quadra 66 javelina mostly. Not the fastest, I can get it to 191. But handles the best imo.
It also sounds the best when up to speed. The other high end cars all seem to whine a bit when over 180. The javelina growls, and I appreciate that.

Their sound team always does a good job by going straight to the source. Seems obvious, but so many movies and games don’t bother.

Patch 1.1 active. Supposed to help with stability a good bit if you are having issues and still interested.

Think I'm starting to understand where all these horrific outfits V ends up wearing in this game came from. That, or Nick Cage somehow shops at Jinguji.

Finally put some time into it. Weird how it shifts from V to Johnny (Keanu). I get the story, but a little frustrating. I'd rather do Sides and drive than play the story, but it's a neccesity.

Overall good game, but nothing super special imo. Wish you could sell cars, modify your car, play casino games, build a business, make your own gang, do other things that have been in similar games. For a game billed as so limitless, it feels pretty limited. Do jobs, shoot, hack, get in boxing matches, blahblah.

Completely agree, I was so underwhelmed I didn’t get to far in the game because I got so bored. Big game with a huge city....... absolutely empty

Plenty of things to dislike but this wasnt supposed to be some open world build your own game. It's an RPG. You are playing a mercenary character. Businesses and gangs dont make sense.

Gangs are businesses and own businesses. As a street kid character, don't get how I can't start my own gang or storefront operation. Can't even buy a different apartment or sell a car. I get you're supposed to be within a role, but it's very restrictive. Jmo.
