That’s 117 players. I thought the roster limit was 105, plus we have a reduction due to the NCAA probation.

Are walk-on’s still allowed?

No doubt the secondary is much better than last year. But, depth at DE and DT is the weakness on this roster. Would have liked to have had a stud RB added as well. Getting Joey at QB will greatly improve our prospects.

Looks better than last season. I'm a bit apprehensive about QB position unless Joey gets another year.

Wish we could have kept Jordan Ross and the other Heard. Probably could use one more known quality at TE but Van Dorselor had brick hands.

Interior OL should be a strength. LBs major upgrade, I can't help but think we have a major upgrade at safety too. CBs should be better than last season considering we only had 1 quarter of work by our best two.

If Knowles has a respectable 3rd down defense and we can reestablish the LEO sack attack then we can be 7-10 points per game better on defense.

If we have a guy or 2 step up at QB then I think our offense keeps clicking. We have the WRs and RBs to make it click. If we learned anything from last season, it is to keep evolving the offense by adding layers and wrinkles to get other teams to keep guessing.

Those 2 are also portal players. The other 2 are walk-ons. There is nobody on the roster from the '22 recruiting class, they would be R-SR. Only 7 players from '23, 3 who are offensive players. Bishop, Davis, and Sham.

I like the how the OL looks. Wide receiver is stacked full of talent. Reliable running back in Bishop, has some decent experience behind him with Morris and the Tulane transfer.

Really it comes down to qb play. If we can get solid qb play I’d expect to be good on that side of the ball. That’s a big if though.

Young, but seems like we have lots of guys from the first page of our wish lists, HS or transfer.
