Need to add 1-2 DTs
Agreed. On the coaching side, i am most disappointed we have not addressed the need to upgrade special teams. I don’t recall us having many long returns (punts or kickoffs aside from MCB), recovering onside kicks, blocking punts or field goals, or making any game-winning field goals. Our units were pedestrian at best! On the plus side, our kickers, aside from Gilbert, performed their jobs well.

Here is my just a fan analysis…..I think we gotta take the same approach as we did with Nico based off this roster. Just not sure we have that same caliber defense. I got us at 9 wins. I think our floor is 7 wins and the ceiling is 10 wins.

QB- imo the bar for GMac needs to be Nico. He isn’t as mobile but hopefully he processes the game faster at the same point in their career. I think the CU kid is probably the backup but he does have some moxie to him. If Faizon plays it means that kid is probably special.

RB- I think the run game will produce like it always has in the CJH era. It probably will look more like Sampson’s last season. I don’t really see the typical 3 headed monster. I’m expecting Bishop to have a big year

WR- probably the best group we have had tbh. Enough said

TE- not sure we have real blockers at the spot but if they’re adequate we should be good. Might be the most athletic group we’ve had.

OL- I think this group has a chance to be good. Hopefully health is on our side. We need Sham & Sam to take a big step this year. Perry is going to be an absolute stud. I expect Sanders to be the highly rated prospect he is.

DL- not nearly as good as 2 years ago. I’m nervous about this group. Hobbs will have a big impact if he stays healthy. Need Robinson and Utley to step up in a big way to have any chance. I have no idea what we’re going to get from the Leo position or the other side. Tyree might make a few plays

LB- looks like a complete group. I think it’s some real dudes in this room.

DB- the secondary in general seems a lot deeper. Redmond is going to be a star. We still need to see the rest of them play together because it could be a brand new group at 4 of the 5 DB spots.

ST- we’re solid
