I don't think it is any one thing...I don't think it's all on the coach or all on the players. It seems to start with no offensive threat in the post. Even if you get the ball into them, they don't present any real threat. Certainly nobody has to leave the player they are guarding to help out.
This causes us to have to work extremely hard to get good looks. We don't shoot the three all that well, we aren't driving the ball into the lane, we're not getting to the foul line.
Even though we have two guys in the top 5 in the league in steals we don't seem to get the points we should off of the turnovers.
I don't pretend to be a basketball coach but my strategy for defending us would be, make Richardson miserable and if Hubbs or Punter beat us, so be it.
The one thing we've done well, offensive rebounding, hasn't yielded much because really only Moore and on some occasions Reece know what to do with the ball when they catch it.
It's just a frustrating thing, the best I can tell though, this is not indicative of Tyndall's teams, other than his first year at Morehead. I think some of the noobs can shoot but I don't think the coaches trust them on defense and for good reason. JMO.
