Come on now, we underachieved most of the 2013-14 season and were saved by a last 4 in bid. If not for that and the subsequent tournament run, his time here would be considered terrible... and I brought this up in another thread but in the 2012-13 season we had back to back losses to Georgetown and Virginia by scores of 37-36 and 46-38. Those are our worst performances in the shot clock era. His teams were boring - and we were supposed to accept that just after Pearl? Jeez.

Tyndall had several worse. Those games were also against NCAA teams with some of the best college defenses of the last decade. Watching them them was exciting due to two good teams going toe to toe and playing Greta defense. If you think Barnes did a good job this year finishing above expectations then give Martin the same credit. If you think this was a bad year you probably think the same about Martin's seasons. That would be misguided though.

He will improve talent level. They will win more than they have. When the expectation becomes reaching the tournament in consecutive years, he'll leave. It's who he is.

Taking the Lane Kiffin rout up the food chain. Piss the bed everywhere he's been pretty much, and still lands on his feet in a better situation than he left.

It's amazing. I expect him to land with the Celtics or Lakers after tanking at Missouri
