But otherwise, we seem to live in an age where professional success is often defined as endlessly moving from one corporation to another, destroying institutional knowledge and experience, and stripping it bare in the name of cost-cutting and increased stock returns for the C-Suite, in order to shine up one’s LinkedIn account, adding those action verbs, and moving to the next employer, leaving the wreckage behind. The general disrespect for older people, who knows? A lot is Hollywood and popular “culture” in general.
