Culinary, Arts, Thread.

The answer? The Beatles. The Beatles helped JT record his first album. Despite being with music gods, Taylor was homesick and (with the help of the Beatles) slipped back into drug addiction (“still I’m on the dark side of the moon”).
Don’t hate at me, I never cared for the Beatles. I always liked James Taylor though. Interesting back story.

Not a fan of the Beatles either and I have a friend that genuinely thinks something is wrong with me because of it.

Is that the only reason they think there is something wrong with you?

I have always had a love/hate relationship with the Beatles. But, Abbey Road, The White Album and Sgt Peppers are great albums. Most of the other stuff I am not a big fan of.

But I am a big fan of all of the guys post Beatles careers.

Well, no. Lol

I like a few songs. Love Rocky Raccoon.

Yea, I agree, loved Paul McCartney and the Wings, Band on the run still a favorite, Ringo ....you're 16 you're jailbait I'll do time, Lennon and Harrison too.

I like the Beatles. They’re not in JT, Croce, Norah JonesAllman Bros, and Pearl Jam’s elite circle for me, but I like them. The pop and later stuff.

I question the musical acumen of anyone alive in the sixties and seventies that doesn’t like and appreciate the sea change the Beatles made in modern music. The Beatles were musical geniuses.

I just don't care for the early stuff. Sgt Peppers was and still is one of the most groundbreaking albums ever made.

And I can listen to Abbey Road every day.

@Behr , is Sanibel island as purdy as I hear?
I don't know what you hear.

Back before Charley in 2004 it was a Paradise. But Charley wiped out all the foliage that made it what it was. It's all growing back, but it's still not what it used to be.

The beaches and water are gorgeous. It's ridiculously expensive. You'd want to stay in Ft. Myers and take a day trip over.

Wings, Ringo, Lennon, Harrison, that just takes me back to being a kid in the 70s, not a care in the world.

Especially Wings. Band on the Run, Live and Let Die, and one of the greatest love songs ever written, Maybe I'm Amazed.
