Mike MCCarthy is the guy. I have been holding back on you guys and I apologize. I have a great friend that supplies me with 100% Wisconsin cheese and he is a lifetime co-owner/season ticket holder at Green Bay
Anyway, I was talking to him just a few minutes ago and he said that he was sending me down a case of Sharp Cheddar and he didnt sound very happy. He is usually a very cheerful guy. I asked him what was the problem and said you guys are going to be good after 2013. I told him I thought DD was going to do good. He quickly corrected me and said that while he was at the GB practice complex the other day( He was delivering some Holiday cheese trays to the NFL wives) he saw a guy dressed in UT gear talking to McCarthy. I told him not to worry that McCarthy was leaving his situation at GB. He said, not so fast. That McCarthy was tired of the frozen tundra and sent out fellers to some College ADs. Seems hes also tired of the NFL egos too.
To continue, he overheard them mentioning numbers and heard 10 million being thrown around alot by McCarthy. Said the guy in the UT gear said that it was very possible, but it had to be for the whole staff combined. McCarthy was heard saying that was fine, but he would have to win the Super Bowl this year for him to be able to take the job. Said that once he did, it released him from his contract and owing any money to GB. Once thats done, he is on the next plane to Knoxville. Likes what we have in offensive weaopns, warm weather, and uniforms remind him of a top quality wheel of Wisconsin Cheddar.

God I hope not.
No way it's leach..not the right character for us, and I don't think he proved enough at TT to take a chance on
Unless winning the Cotton Bowl at Texas Tech constitutes winning BIG at a major program, I'd say you're cold.

I agree that he would be a bad fit, but realisticly (I'm tired of wasting keyboard strokes with smarta$$ remarks) based upon the clues given, who else could it be? It was the whole "interested, but otherwise engaged" thing that lead me to Leach. And face it, good fit or not, (I say not in our situation), Leach would be a big fish to any struggling program!
And I was taking "big" for the big 12, not winning "BIG".
They really arent CV. I see you trying to be logical in your thoughts today, but people are just sad man. Its obvious. Im sad. I have supported Dooley since day 1 and have taken a lot of flack. His(lack of) coaching, smart ass remarks, and reports of him not having control in the locker room seriously make me wonder. I am now off the Dooley train and with what everyone has seen idk how anyone is still on. I do not want to fail next year. I just am almost positive he will. I hold a slight bit of optimism but none of it is from anything i have seen out of Dooley, it just comes with being a die hard fan. I love this team and school and I know many others do too. Some are terrible at expressing it though....It would be devastating to ditch him right now...but he seems to just be running our train-wreck farther off the track. I am not sure if a move swhould be made. I dont think he's the coach to bring us back but I think a third year is necessary...until I watch yesterday's replay. I understand why people want a change...I dont blame any of them.Their own egos are more important than UT
