Wow, this thread could go in numerous directions.

Natl champions like Bowden, Paterno, Coker, Tressell, Holtz, and Fulmer are out there. Don't forget Tressell and Butch Davis if we want a trip on probation after winning the SEC.

Seriously, I would not be surprised if we try for a fading coach like Mack Brown. That would be bad, but fit in with our last two hires.

It's Joe Pa, got to deal with a few issues this year, but is available for a long term contract next year.

No way it's leach..not the right character for us, and I don't think he proved enough at TT to take a chance on

I guess Patterson would be on my Wish List (from the college ranks) as a distant 3rd behind 1. Stoops and then 2. Peterson.

As much as I despised Kiffin and his staff, he at least had the right "idea". Head Coach selflessly takes lesser pay and uses the difference to hire a top quality staff, * with no character flaws. Kiffin's staff unfortunately had character flaws so that's where he messed up.

Anyone notice that Rex always starts crazy threads like this, and then disappears? I think he just enjoys stirring the pot, and sitting back to laugh.. Wouldn't surprise me if this entire story is made up

Unless winning the Cotton Bowl at Texas Tech constitutes winning BIG at a major program, I'd say you're cold.
